What's for Breakfast? How bout Freedom??

Everyone wants to be free,,, man has from the beginning of time fought for it, yearned for it and would die for it.  But what is freedom? And why do we struggle so much to achieve it?  We have been taught that in order to obtain freedom, we have to suffer a great deal first, but do we really have to?

Freedom is being able to do what we want, no limitations or repercussions.  No responsibilities to tie us, nobody telling us what to do, no guidelines to follow and hence no rules.

Body

For those who think of themselves as the body, there is no freedom.  The body has so many rules to follow, and the risk of not following these rules could be death.  It has a use by date, this much is certain.

Mind

The mind on the other hand, though brilliant is also under the rules of the world.  It suffers egoic tendencies such as fear, anger, hate and so on.  It is the object that thinks, henceforth thinks the most about freedom or the lack of it. Thinking that it is always in bondage.

Self

The who that I am is the Self.  Always free, boundless, limitless and blissful.  I experience everything and are everything.  I am already free, timeless and pure.  Just experiencing everything.

A wise man said that, it has always been our belief that being separate and solitary is easier than being part of a whole which we believe takes so much effort.  When in fact being an empty presence is effortless than being continuously feeling and thinking.

Notes:

The wise man mentioned is Mr. Rupert Spira
